Christmas Tea, Historical Society 2007
The Historical Society meeting on May 18, was honored to have Dr Kirby
Johnson as our speaker. He is a long term Veterinarian for our area. He
spoke on visits to local families caring for live stock in 50s Fayette county.
He also spoke on The McCook-Stoneman raid during the Civil War. He
showed us a mule shoe that was thrown by a norther mule during that
campaign. Dr. Johnson's Ggrandfather was a Confederate soldier during the
fight.
